  • What is Roaring Adventures Mission?
    Roaring Adventures, Inc. is a 501(c) 3, public benefit nonprofit corporation formed under Oregon law in 2021. The mission of Roaring Adventures is to provide information, education, and support to individual(s) and families with a medical diagnosis of infertility. This includes, in part, providing financial family building grants to first responders ("First Responders"), and active military ("Active Military") members who have been medically diagnosed with infertility.
  • How does Roaring Adventures define First Responder and Active Military members?
    For the purpose of the family grant; First Responder(s) is defined as a firefighter, nurse, paramedic/ EMT, EMS, law enforcement (police officer) and 911 dispatcher. Active Duty Military members.
  • Application Eligibility
    The organization will use the following criteria to evaluate grant applications, reviewed by a grant committee, which are awared to qualified applicants on a lottery system. The applicant must: a. Provide proof of current medical diagnosis, documented by a letter from an accredited physician practiving at a facility accredited by SART, Society of Assisted Reproductive Technology or ABOG, American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology recognizing both OBGYN and REI practioners. b. At least 18 years of age, with one intended parent no greater than 55 years of age. (In guidance with the ethics committee of ASRM) c. Live in the United States d. Be a U.S. citizen e. Present most recent tax-returns to demonstrate a financial need; and f. Application fee of $65 to cover administrative costs of application process accompanied with application.
  • Must the individual(s) be U.S. citizens?
    Yes, applicants must both reside in the United States and be a U.S. citizen.
  • How are grants awarded?
    Recipient of grant(s) will be notified of award no later than 4-6 weeks. With funds available within 3 weeks of award. Grant(s) must be utilized within 90 days of announcement to remain eligible.
  • How are grants distributed?
    The organization operates nationwide and provides any grant funds directly to providers of health-related services and products (The "Providers") located within the United States, as selected by its awardees. Roaring Adventures does not provide financial grants for services rendered prior to date of awardee notification.
  • Is there an age limit?
    Applicant(s) must be at least 18 years old, one intended parent must be younger than age 55 in alignment with the ASRM ethics committee guidance.
  • Is there an income qualification?
    No, however the organization will give preference to applicants experiencing financial hardship and first-time parents.

  • Do I need written medical proof or recommendation to be eligible?
    Yes, this must be accompanied with application.
  • How many grants are awarded?
    Roaring Adventures hopes to provide at least four grants of between $500 and $10,000 or greater each quarter, depending on availabe funding. This may include one full IVF cycle treatment, cover domestic adoption fees at a domestic non profit adoption agency, to individuals and couples with a medical infertility on an annual basis. The organization will distribute funds directly to the grant recipient's preferred clinic, agency and pharmacy on behalf of the grant recipient.
  • Can I reapply is not selected?
    Yes, applicants may apply for future grant opportunities as we recognize that treament plans, family planning option considerations may happen. With each application, a $65 application fee will apply to cover volunteer administrative and application costs.
